Dove Awards Nomination for “In My Name”

I’m thrilled to share some incredible news—"In My Name," performed by the amazing Smokie Norful and written by yours truly, has been nominated for the 56th Annual Dove Awards in the category of Traditional Gospel Recorded Song of the Year! This nomination is a true honor, and I’m beyond grateful to see this song, which means so much to me, recognized by the Dove Awards.

"In My Name" is a song that has been part of my journey for decades. It was originally written in 1987, first released in 1992, and now, all these years later, it’s reaching new hearts and souls. It’s been a testament to God’s timing and purpose, reminding me that what’s meant to be will always find its way, no matter how long it takes.

Smokie Norful’s rendition of this song is nothing short of powerful, and he brings a spirit and emotion to it that truly honors its message. I am incredibly grateful to Smokie for bringing this song back to life in such a beautiful way, and to everyone who has supported us along the way. To be nominated in this category among such talented artists is both humbling and exciting.
