BIOGRAPHY
I was born and raised on the West Side of Chicago and music has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. My journey began in my parents’ home, where I first heard music that spoke to me even as a child and discovered that I could hear music before I ever learned what reading music was about. At eight years old I actually started my journey playing in church. I didn’t know then that those late night rehearsals and early Sundays would become the foundation for a lifelong calling.
That gift opened doors for me early and then came the calls. Not because I chasing fame, but because I was using what God gave me to bring hope, joy, peace & inspiration to all I encountered.
Over the years, God has allowed my music to travel far beyond what I could have ever imagined. I’ve had the honor of writing, producing, and collaborating with artists and legends across genres from Milton Brunson & The TCS, The Winans, BeBe & CeCe Winans, Marvin Sapp, Smokie Norful, Donald Lawrence, Yolanda Adams, Fred Hammond, Babyface and many more whose voices helped carry my songs and or work to the world.
One notable moment was co-creating Toni Braxton’s No. 1 hit “Do It,” during covid and earlier, being part of a song that became what Rolling Stones Magazine called one of most impactful inspirational records of all time. “I Believe I Can Fly,”
All of this is quite humbling, but my greatest joy is being able to continue creating, producing, mentoring and leading the way for others to become the best version of themselves that fulfills their God designed purpose.
I am still as hungry today as I was at my dad’s church organ as a child…not just to make music, but to make IMPACT! To write music and songs that don’t just trend – but transform.
I currently serve as Executive Director of Worship at Reflections Of Christ Kingdom Church (The R.O.C.K.), under the leadership of Apostle Dr. Dana Carson – a ministry I deeply believe represents biblical accuracy, cultural relevance, and sound theology at the highest level. I am also blessed to have a family of my own. My wife Teresa & I have 3 children and a host of grandchildren!
Music is not who I am! However it is what I do… I will continue inspiring, encouraging & pointing those I encounter the right way as long as the Lord allows me to.
So the journey continues.
